Oh Viv.....

Ha!!  That's my response to her lately...she makes the funniest remarks these days!! I wonder how and where in the world she comes up them!
Like the other day, we were sitting at the dining room table and she was coloring when a commerical came on TV and it had a catchy tune.  She starts dancing and she says "ooooo baby i'm diggin this groove!"  I cracked up laughing and said "OH VIV!!"

Or another time her and Landen were eating breakfast and Landen was just babbling away to her.  She was just staring at him and I say "Viv he is telling you all about things!"  she says "But I already know EVERYTHING mom!!" again...laughed and laughed telling her "Oh Viv!"

Then yesterday afternoon we were driving home from errands and we saw this poor lady fall down in the parking lot.  When we got home she was climbing out of the van and she tripped.  She exclaims "I FELL DOWN LIKE THAT LADY!"  you guessed it..i cracked up laughing again and said "Oh viv!"

I just am loving this age.  She is just so independent and yet she still needs me.  She has her personality coming through but still likes to be sweet and cuddly.  She's my little love bug, and now i call her my wacky pants!!

Happy Birthday to my baby boy!

One year ago today I was in the hospital watching this angel sleep.  He had just been born maybe 6 hours before, and I was just in awe that Chris and I created and brought this beautiful creature into the world.

He was the best christmas present ever!  Only a week old and the whole family was already in love.

At 6 months old, he has already grown so much, and we have already learned what a sweet, curious, loving, cuddle bug he is!!  He just adores his sister and she just loves him to no end! They are already best buds!

December 2011, almost a year old here.  Christmas this year will be so different with him being a year old.  He is really starting to explore his world and you can see his little wheels turning as he figures out how things work.  It is just truly amazing to see.

Happy Birthday sweet boy!!!  December 17, 2011 he is a year old today.  I can't believe how the time is flying by and how much he has grown.  I love you more than words can say stinky!! 

My life feels so complete, I am just over the moon happy with my children, what an accomplishment I can say I've done...growing two human beings inside me, experiencing bringing that human into the world, and watching them grow and learn each day.  Feeling their little arms give me hugs, feeling their little bodies snuggle close to me as they fall asleep or just want to cuddle...all these things and more just fill me with such joy.

My baby boy has brought a whole new light to my little family, and I couldn't imagine it without him.

Summer updates

Well lots has gone on since I last posted in June...or was it July??  Gee I can't keep up!!  It's kinda sad how fast time goes by.  Vivian has been in preschool for about 2 months now...Landen is almost a year old...YIKES!!  But anyway let's bring you up to speed on the happenings.  This summer has been so full of fun times and milestones.  Vivian took her first round of swim lessons...needless to say she didn't enjoy them too much!  She also got her first big girl bike...she enjoyed that EMMENSLEY!!  We went on a ride through a place called Monticello Canyon just outside of our second stomping grounds...TorC, me and Chris took a much needed vacation just the two of us to Vegas (thanks mom and dad!!) and got to stay in the Bellagio...GORGEOUS!!  In between all this we had some fun times at our house playing outdoors.  This collage of pictures is just a peek into the many days of summer.

Later in August we went on a 4 wheeling trip with my parents, Chris' parents, and some good friends of ours through a place called Monticello Canyon just outside of TorC.  Here's some pics from that fun fun FUN trip!

Viv's first day of school was bitter sweet for me.  I am so proud of her, and yet I want her to stay my baby girl...Above all I am just so excited to watch her grow and learn no matter what age she is!  Here's some pictures of her first day

Finally we have Halloween.  This year was super special because it was the first year Chris was able to trick or treat and just experience Halloween with Vivian.  He helped her make cookies for her class halloween party, and we had a blast with the whole fam walking the "hood"

Next up...Thanksgiving!!!  I am really going to try to be better at posting as things happen.  I love going through all my pictures and remembering the good times.  Hope you all enjoyed too!! 

Florida Key's Trip

Back in June we took our annual family trip.  This year we decided to go to the Florida Keys.  We stayed on the key called Marathon and took drives to explore as many of the other keys as possible.  There were 12 of us, my sisters, Ems, my inlaws, us and my parents.  It was a total blast!!!  The kids did amazing and Viv was in heaven swimming in the ocean!  She had her life jacket on but she still did good.  All in all it was a wonderful week full of memories that will last forever.

and our catch of day. Not too bad...and delicious eating!!!  We took these guys to a local restaurant and had them cook them 3 ways.  It was HEAVEN

Another day...another adventure...to the Everglades.  This is a baby crocodile they were raising at the park.

Lindsey just loved this little guy!!  We were going to take an airboat ride into the swamps to see bigger crocs close up, but as you can see we got rained out. 

We decided to spend the last day at this beautiful beach...needless to say it was the hottest day the whole week with like 95% humidity.  It sure was beautiful though.  We all had a blast swimming and relaxing

Chris and my father in law fishing off the wall at the same beach we swam at.  Nothing was caught this time, but they enjoyed themselves.

 

 

After this amazing trip to the beach it was time to head home.  We were ready, but it was still hard to leave.  I can't wait to someday go back to Florida and make even more memories in this amazing state.

A Camping we did go!!

And it was a blast!!  We took the trip to Heron Lake in northern New Mexico.  It was cold, windy and rained alot until the day we left (of course!)  The kids did wonderful even though the weather was bad.  We went the weekend before memorial... figured it would be less crowded everywhere and actually enjoyed staying home for the long weekend.  We went with some dear friends and camped in our new camping trailers.  We also went fishing, and Viv caught her first fish on a "real" fishing pole!!  Landen did so wonderful in the elements, sleeping, and being out and about!  He's going to be a nature lover like the rest of us :-)  Here are some pictures of our amazing weekend:
